Rules & Format

How It Works

Roster
Teams consist of 3–5 players. You need 3 to play — up to 2 additional substitutes allowed.

Game Format
Games played to 21 (win by 2) or a time limit. Standard 3-on-3 FIBA-style rules apply.

Pool Play → Brackets
All teams play a guaranteed minimum of 2 pool games. Top teams advance to bracket play.
04

Check-In
All teams must check in by 7:45 AM. Schedules and bracket details will be emailed prior to the event.

Common Questions

FAQ

How many players do I need to register?
You need a minimum of 3 players to compete. You may register up to 5 — 3 starters plus 2 substitutes. One registration covers the full team.
How do I pick my division?
Division is selected during checkout. Age groups are based on grade level for the 2025–26 school year. Contact us if you’re unsure which division fits your team.
What if my division doesn’t fill?
If a division doesn’t have enough teams to run a bracket, we’ll contact you to discuss combining divisions or a full refund.
Can I add players after registering?
Yes — rosters can be updated up to event check-in on August 8. Email us with any roster changes.
What should we bring?
The tournament provides balls and courts. Players should bring water, appropriate footwear, and be ready to compete outdoors in August Montana heat.
Where do proceeds go?
All proceeds benefit Purpose Driven Training Academy, a Kalispell-based 501(c)(3) that develops youth athletes through competitive basketball.
